The ABC Challenge: S is for sugar and spice

I thought of little girls and the "S" is for Sparrow.  My little bean turned 8 and pink suddenly is not her favorite color.  Her new color is blue, I'm not quite ready for this new grown up choice, so I'm going to use both to ease into it.

365 Cards: #44 Double Stair step card

today on 365 cards http://365cards.blogspot.com/2011/04/day-44-fancy-folds-double-stair-step.html the challenge was to create a Double stair step card.  I found a video on YouTube that helped me make the cuts and folds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sfEcyuMFu0 she called it a middle step card.
"Happy Spring!"

365 Cards: Heartsong #39

Having a heart for God is my heartsong.  Today on 365 cards http://365cards.blogspot.com/ we were asked "So what makes your heart sing??"  and my answer is the Lord! :)
I used a Stampin Up Background stamp and Heart punch to help create this Christian encouragement greeting.  I added a metal heart that was part of a necklace from the thrift store with a floss bow and some rick rack for embellishment.

365 Cards: Sketchy Sunday Day #34

This sketch was great! I used another die cut from K & Co's Sweet nectar pack.  Truth be told: I'm trying to justify my spending by seeing how much I can use from one purchase!  So far this has been a great buy for me, I just loved the colors and the variety of sizes and styles and it was on sale for $6.99 at Micheals.  The verse is recycled from a calander and the embellishments are mostly Jolee's.  Happy Easter!

365 Cards: You Inspire Me

Today on 365 cards we were asked to make a card where the image reminds you of someone.  I needed to make a birthday card for a friend this week, so I started thinking about her and all that she is going through at the moment.  I thought of this wonderful stamp by Stampin Up' called "French Flair" because although things are hard and nothing seems to be clear, God is with her and she can move forward with her life knowing that she is never alone.  I used a Versacolor pigment ink pad called Icicle, and stamped on glossy paper then embossed the image with transparent Kaleidoscope powder.  I started making ATC's ( artist trading card's) for her over a year ago, and gave her a mini album to collect them in.  I put the card in a plastic protective sleeve so she can just slip it out and keep it.

365 Cards: Sketchy Sunday Day 27

Today's sketch challange got me to pull out this terrific 70's decal that I found while thrifting.  To me it appears she is playing that game "He loves me, He loves me not" with her daisy.  In John 3:16 we are told that Jesus not only loves you but that he died for you.  This sweet little girl is saying "He loves me, He loves me, He loves me! & I'm saying he loves you too :)
John 3:16 (NIV)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
