Winter Thinking of you

Here is my 5th card for the 12 days of Christmas love letters challenge on http://www.moreloveletters.com/. This card was created for Angela who recently lost her brother in a tragic car accident.  I wanted to create something gentle looking and feeling to convey my sympathy.  I chose this snow embossing folder and added holographic embossing powder with Versamark  along with a simple silver "thinking of you" sentiment for this winter note.

Celebrate! CTD# 354, CCT #385

this inchie/grid/quilt style card was creating for the Colorthrowdown challenge #354.  This is a great beach-ie color combination that I don't think I would have put together without this challenge.    The colors are described as:  aqua blue, light coral, grass green and kraft shades.    This greeting is perfect for any celebration.  I used die cuts, punches, metal and plastic embellishments, ribbon, thread and twine.  This card is also being entered into Cute Card Thursday's one word challenge #385.  My word is Celebrate! (stampin Up rubber stamp).

Make-A-Wish!

When I saw the challenge to use a cake as a focal point on Cute Card Thursday, I knew I needed to use the 3D Martha Stewart embellishment pack I found on sale at Tuesday Morning recently.  I then looked for a sketch challenge to help me decide what to do, and The paper players had the perfect inspiration this week:
I used washi tape at the bottom and embossed my die cut circle for added texture.   The die cut banner is from papertrey ink.   The pieces of gold wire is a  thrift store find, and I have sooo much of it! I would love to share a yard to the first five people who request it on my blog! you can send me an email with your address to: creativeseconds@verizon.net.

Here is a card I made for Cute Card Thursday challenge #308 Clever Cutting:

I used Papertrey Ink card stock and patterned paper along with the Sizzix Bigz owl #2 die to create this greeting.  I added a fabric gold puffy heart to emphasis the sentiment that reads: "A friend is someone who listens with the heart" by Stampin Up.  This die tends to waste paper as it cuts more out then you need of each shape, but I think the outcome is worth it because he's so cute!

Crop Stop #11 & CCT # 156

This sympathy card was created for the Seaburg Family.  I've attached an article about Warren Seaburg, Who was a Christian and a talented muscian who used his gifts to glorify God and to bless those around him.  http://weblogs.dailypress.com/entertainment/music/pop/blog/2011/03/popular_local_musican_warren_s.html
I was greatful for the sketch challenge from Crop stop to help me with the design for this card.

Cute Card Thursday #155 3rd Birthday

This request is to make a birthday card, and the added challenge is to make it for a THREE year old.  My #3 is made out of grungeboard by Tim Holtz that I inked and embossed with clear powder.  I added ribbon, rhinestones and a cupcake for embellishment.
